why after upgrade it is a development branch

Asked by How

update manager says there is new version 23.04, so I upgrade. After upgrade, in the settings it says it is a luna lobster development branch. Why is it? The kernel is 6.1 not 6.2 in the release. I only just upgraded. and the 23.04 is released in April

I think the problem is the AU repo, is not up to date.

I changed the repo, and it shows new updates. After upgrade, now is full release

It seems that you found the cause of the problem.

Apparently the repository server is not current, although shown as "up-to-date" on https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+mirror/mirror.internet.asn.au-archive

see e.g. https://mirror.internet.asn.au/pub/ubuntu/archive/ubuntu/dists/lunar-updates/main/binary-amd64/ last update 2022-Nov-29

I assume that this should be reported to mailto:<email address hidden>
