Canon mg2500 series won't print on ubuntu 20.04

Can you be more specific with the printer? Cannon mg2500 "?" Maxify or Pixma, Selphy, Ivy, Studio ?

There is an cnijfilter-mg2500series-4.00-1-deb.tar.gz file from Canon's website. Inside you will find

  cnijfilter-common_4.00-1_amd64.deb

Install that, then the

  cnijfilter-mg2500series_4.00-1_amd64.deb

These are the drivers you need.

I went to the website you gave me and downloaded cnijfilter-mg2500series-4.00-1-deb and I have no idea how to install this file. Could you please shed some light on this subject for me. I need help to do this. Thankyou.

Extract the file. You can do this using the GUI file manager or even unp in the terminal (you can install unp with "sudo apt install unp")

HOW DO i GO ABOUT GETTING THE SCANNER WORKING ON THE CANON MG2500 SERIES WITH UBUNTU 20.04 ?

Download the scanner driver from the Canon Web site.

Please don't post in all caps. It's harder to read and looks like you ARE SHOUTING
