upgrading 8.04 to 8.10,Is package whatever i installed get removed?

well i have added to many features in 8.04 and i have some of my document in it.will it get removed?

Before attempting any upgrades, it is prudent to always backup valuable personal data, config files and custom sounds/wallpapers etc.

Things in your /home folder you will not likely lose but some config files could be replaced.
