After deleting the entire drive and RE INSTALLING Ubuntu 18.04 LTS 64 bit . .
So something is not right about the Up Dates or what it removes from the ( Explicative Pronouns deleted ) HP Boot sector thing UEIF Thing WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER HP ANY THING ! . . And as soon as I can afford to I will get rid of this HP thing !

AHUM don't get that option with HP CRAP . . It is a thing with HP and the UEFI crap they have in CMOS ! . . . .I had a ASUS which I wore out ( buttons were no longer working ) and never had these problems ! . . Oh well what you get when you buy CHEAP !

You are mixing up things.

ALL new computer systems now have UEFI. This is something that was introduced by Intel and has nothing to do with HP or ASUS. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unified_Extensible_Firmware_Interface

And the fact that you have to disable secure boot (or at least module signature verification) is a consequence of certain security features that were activated in recent Linux kernel versions.

You are new to Launchpad, please do not put SPAM in an answer you give! Please remove (hide). L. Stevens has had multiple problems lately. Putting a previous version in, will not help.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Lynne Stevens for more information if necessary.
