First of all, the .exe files on the driver cd are for windows. If the network doesn't work out of the box you might be able to use the windows network drivers with the help of ndiswrapper but I don't know how to use that in details. The nvidia drivers can be installed over system->administration->hardware drivers (or something like that).
Also, did you try it with Ubuntu 8.10? That's the latest stable release.
If you want to know if your hardware works with Ubuntu 9.04 the easiest way would be for you to test it yourself using the testing release of 9.04 with a live-cd or live-usb-drive (http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/jaunty/beta - be warned: only use it on a live media until the final release even if it seems to work fine!)

For more direct help you could ask in the IRC support channels on irc.freenode.net:
#ubuntu (all ubuntu versions up to 8.10)
#ubuntu+1 (9.04)

Can you help with this problem?
