Remove icons from top Panel 16.04

using 16.04 . Trying to remove icons from top panel (En and Mail).
window key + alt and right click does NOT work.
How do I remove these icons from the top panel...?

sudo apt-get remove indicator-messages

Then log out and back in.

That got rid of "Mail" but "En" is stil on the top panel

NO...Now Ubuntu boots without a password then ask for password
beause keyring did not get unlocked...?
