Where is QSynaptics &/or How do I Run It?

Asked by Jeff Felberbaum

My touchpad is way too sensitive, "LockerGnome" says to get QS. which I did
with Synaptic. Don't see it anywhere in "Applications" or "System..."

What next?

Thanks!

If you successfully installed it, you can type
qsynaptics
in a terminal and it will open.
If it works, you can add it to the menu with System->Preferences->Menu distribution.

Please remember that your /etc/X11/xorg.conf must have this line:
Option "SHMConfig" "true"
at the end of the
Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "Synaptics Touchpad"
section to make qsynaptics work.

Hope this helps.

It sounds like this package is missing a .desktop file, which would be a bug in the package (and an easy one to fix!).

Can you help with this problem?
