DRDY error..

total begginer, first computer, i386.. very happy to be part of ubuntu, chose Xubunto, but it cannot configure a perfectely good yamaha CRW4261 cd drive... 'DRDY error' says the machine in the boot sequence..

This is more of an Ubuntu question than a Launchpad question. I've re-assigned it to "Ubuntu". You might also want to ask on http://ubuntuforums.org.
