Swap and Security concerns

I just had been directed to dangerous site that i was going to see one flash video although it was not which i expected!
I feel it affected my Ubuntu 8.04. I want to know how i can check my system health and also i want to know in such a situation swap also get affected? is it possible to reinstall swap or not? or even it does make sense? I would like to know is there any security concerns about swap area or not?

Ubuntu dont be affected by Internet Viruses.

Swap is Completely ERASED on every shutdown/restart, and all posible data in there is permanently deleted.

Isn't needed.

A very little portion on web runs on Windows Server, and sometimes this servers can be affected by Malware or Hackers.

You can use this free software to clean up your system (delete temporal, cache, logs, etc), but is optional:

I have found out that Ubuntu 9.04 do not clean swap when shutting down. This leads to many unpleasant effects, among them, some data, that persisted in a process memory last hibernation before shutting down, can be retrieved by analysing swap partition of a shutdown computer.
