Installation Problem!!!

Hello,
I was trying to install Ubuntu 7.04 as a multiboot system with Windows Xp. I restarted the pc to boot from CD and it booted well. The problem starts when I try to install it. I have tried every option there was but after a few seconds BusyBox shows an Error which says "Jobs currently switched off" and waits for my instruction on the command prompt. I again tried by converting my D drive (which is 10gb in size) to Linux ext3 file system, converted the C drv to FAT32 (n.b. all my drives are in NTFS). I have tried it another computer which has similar configuration as mine. I am suspecting the hardware incompetency with Ubuntu. What should I do?

My configuration:
Intel Pentium D 2.66ghz Processor
MSI P6NGM-L (nVidia nForce 610i chioset)
GeForce 7050 Built-in Graphics
Realtek 7.1 HD Audio Built-in (ALC 888 Codec)
160 GB HDD
Samsung DVD RW drv

Please, can you try Ubuntu 8.04 LTS or the newly Ubuntu 8.10, or you need the 7.04 version?
The versions 8.x can do the job with your hardware, the 8.04 have Long Term Support, I recommend you this version if you want a more stable environment.
With Ubuntu you can access your NTFS partitions, but you can't install Ubuntu on it, if you need instructions about how to configure a dual boot machine, you can go to:

By the way,
Don't forget to add a swap partition with two time you memory size.
And give no less than 10Gb to the ext3 partition.

Thanks, i have searched in the hardware support section and there were no support for MSI motherboards. So I am thinking of upgrading the OS version. But I cannot find it in the local market and none of my friends have it. Besides my Internet connection is way too slow to download the iso image. So I'll just wait. Thank you again.
