No AGP enabled on my ATI card

Asked by chkneater

HI, I have tried various things to get some better performance out of my Radeon RV100 card. Before you laugh, you should know that I have gotten decent performance out of it before, but since totally effing it up, I had to reformat. My Xorg file is completely bare, it just shows configured devices for everything, no drivers or anything. Supposedly I'd heard the ATi cards were configured already, but with the crappy performance I've gotten out of it I'm not sure about that. Anyway, I was researching it and found some tips to make sure the AGP was set correctly, and everything pointed to know AGP at all.

dmesg | grep agp gave me nothing and
dmesg | grep drm gave nothing also

Could this be the cause of the problem?

Isnt it better when you enable the proprietary drivers?
