ADSL Speedtouch 330 on ubuntu 7.04

Asked by Vamosnessa

I did exactly all steps listed in the help of ubuntu 7.04 to configure a adsl modem speedtouch 330 and it doesn't work.
It reports this error: «In file /etc/ppp/peers/speedtch: unrecognized option 'nas0'»

If you will use an ethernet router to connect your dual boot pc to the net you don't need to play with any driver, simply connect the cable and configure it with the really simply pppoeconf command.

For your Speedtouch usb modem
http://www.thomson-broadband.co.uk/codepages/content3.asp?c=7&ProductID=471

Try this:

Ok you don't do not have any experience of command line style instructions but give a chance to a already made deb package:

Download the deb package and save on your hard-disk using Windows it is only 1.1 megabytes
http://www.squeezedonkey.com/svn/linux/trunk/releases/ubuntu/32-bit%20i386/usbadslmodemmanager_0.5.8_i386.deb
then copy this file on a floppy disk

Open the floppy from your Ubuntu and try to install the package

Please give us some feedback

Hope This Help
