eth0 disconnect then reconnect

hello...

im having an odd error... i have been connecting to an ftp server here localy via my eth0 connection... before i installed 8.10 i had 8.4 which didnt have this error...

but when downloading lets say a movie and the speed reaches about 5 mps my connection drops above this mark my connection drops... then reconnects and continues to download till it reaches 5 megs again and disconnects...

where should i start to trouble shot this? thanks

There is a bug, and a workaround, disable compiz, that must solve the issue.
