I am able to connect to another Ubuntu PC via Remote Desktop Viewer but not the Terminal Server Client -RDP and RDPV5 are the only protocols NOT greyed out.

I should mention that the VNC protocol in Terminal Server client is available within a 8.10 upgrade from 8.04 but not on a new build.

To get support for VNC install xtightvncviewer: sudo aptitude install xtightvncviewer
For XDMCP install xnest: sudo aptitude install xnest
For ICA you need the citrix ICA client, which seems pretty complicated to install in Ubuntu: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CitrixICAClientHowTo
