DVD Tray Getting Back in Very quickly

Hi Friends,
I have a strange problem.The DVD drive in my computer is behaving strangely for the past 1 week.When i press the EJECT button to take a DVD out,it opens but closes rapidly before i can take the DVD out.i hv checked The DVD drive in my computer with other operating System(BOSS),And it does not behave like that there..so i suppose there must be setting which i should change in ubutu(8.10)...can any one help this problem.

first update your distribution if not
if even then having problems then

install udev 124-9 package
from http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid-updates/admin/udev
or through synaptic if it is available

Thanks,That solve My problem.But Can u pls tell me what was That Package Meant For..I would like to know the technical background of that problem.

 i have read about that problem at

now instead of refering entire page to him
i only told about the solution part
as i have read the page and figured out the solution already for him
