ubuntu installed can not boot windows xp

Asked by mmaclean

I had Windows XP running on a IBM thinkpad R51e. Ubuntu was installed without proper partitioning and now Windows can not be booted. The GRUB boot manager is the only one accessible. Any help on how to reverse this error would be GREATLY appreciated.

what exactly do you mean by "without proper partitioning"? did you tell the installer to use the entire hard drive?

presuming that u did not delete the windows partition i suggest u should run through the ubuntu installation again and be carefull this time.

to check that u did not delete the windows u must able to see the partition in ubuntu itself
ubuntu can see the windows partition and can even read from it.

Can you help with this problem?
