Problem with the end of X, changed the composite to "enable" from "0" now ubuntu won't start up to windows. Help!

Problem with the end of X, changed the composite from "0" to "enabled" then when I restarted it wouldn't open to windows, black screen, code. Tryed to enable desktop effects. I don't have much knowledge of ubuntu code.

By the way the version of ubuntu I have is 7.04, fiesty.

Graphic card? Drivers installed? try to revert the xorg change from command line with:
$ sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.cong
and then make composite value "0" again then save it with "Control + O" and push enter, if that doesn't help you, come back and give us the info of the card you're using and the drivers to offer better asistance :)

Yes, Amins advice is good, however i recommend loading into a live cd, then mounting your ubuntu hard drive, then doing the changes that amin suggests

Thanks, Problem solved, used live cd, copied xorg form cd to partition on other filesystem.
