GLMatrix freezes

I am using the GLMatrix screensaver and I have a problem: when the screensaver starts, it seems to work properly, but after 10 seconds the animation freezes (only the animation, not the whole machine). When i click on "preview" in the gnome-screensaver-preferences window it works fine. I tried also the other OpenGL screensavers, they work without a problem.

System:
Ubuntu Feisty
ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 with OpenSource driver
Beryl with AIGLX

i'm not an expert on this subject but you could try the fgrlx driver for your ati card, it has a lower support but well configured it could work, it's the driver i'm using.

I have an ATI mobility radeon X600 with fgrlx driver and Beryl with XGL and no prob, i'm using the same screensaver :)
