task bar moved

Hello,
a small problem...my task bar on top of screen has moved vertically to the left hand side? How do I get it back on top!?

find an empty space on the panel, click and drag it to the top

Right click on the task bar, choose "Properties" and change the select "Top" from the orientations (the actual titles may be slightly different, I'm German and just guessing the English titles).
