Not a bug but a help request

Asked by bim

Sorry to bother the bug system, but I was referred here by <email address hidden>.

Three questions
1. How do I find the Windows driver for my Atheros 168c.002a?
2. If it arrives with ".exe" on the end, where should I put it?
3. Then, how do I connect it?

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs.

Don't install a Windows driver on a Linux system -- it won't work.
Instead, go to System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers.

If your device is detected, the driver should be easily installed.

If your device isn't detected, post another question or go to the forums.

Although, if you did want to install a Windows program, you would need something like Wine. (http://www.winehq.org) It is available in the repositories.

Can you help with this problem?
