open office 3.0 update?

hi all,

i so many install Oo3.0, and show how to add the repoes. and all. i don't want to install it manually through 3rd party software, and wish to wait until the normal update.

the question is, when will it be? :)

i use intrepid 8.10 with all the latest updates

There is currently no definite date of adding OpenOffice 3 to the Ubuntu repos, if at all. It's very likely that it will not be added until Jaunty Jackalope is released.

hope the folks at Canonical will release it before JJ 9.04, but in any how, i think i'll survive 'till then :)

Best thing would be to use the PPA for now at https://launchpad.net/~openoffice-pkgs/+archive
