Download file does not work

Asked by mklinger

I have downloaded version 8.10 3 times -- from 2 different mirror servers and once using BitTorrent. Each time after downloading the ISO file and writing the disk image (using Nero), the disk fails to work. The disk writer and Nero work fine on other disks and image files. What's wrong?

I think the reason is that the file is corrupted, because you are using Bit Torrent try using regular download and put down them all plugin in firefox

The first 2 times I downloaded the files I used Firefox and did them as a regulat download and di not use BiotTorrent at all. It was not even installed the first 2 times. I am not sure what you are suggesting about a "plugin in firefox."

are you just burning the iso file onto a cd? you have the burn the iso itself onto a cd, you can find a helpful guide here: https://help.ubuntu.com/8.04/switching/installing-burning.html

you may need to make sure your computer is set to boot from a cd: https://help.ubuntu.com/8.04/switching/installing-booting.html

Can you help with this problem?
