Anyone tried this ASUS 8.9" Eee 4GB PC -Linux

ASUS 8.9" Eee 4GB PC Netbook Computer with Linux - Black

This pc can be purchsed at Target for $299
I work in the IT field and constantly on the move from office to office..
I currently use a Dell Inspirion, which has been ok, with a few repairs, it is still hanging on..
I was thinking of giving this PC a try.. If you own one could you share a few thoughts..
The Solid State Disk is really what I am attracted to... oh and the price...
( I know mac has that thin mac, but it is a few thousnd?)

I am in the USA
I was just wonder how is the quality of the PC. Does it over heat, freeze up. etc etc
I am considering purchasing one.
I think at amazon.com there are more available.
With a larger hard drive.

Go to http://ubuntu-eee.com if you want a Ubuntu distribution (unofficial) which works well on the EEE. I'm using it, very happy so far.

First there was the 701, then the 900, followed by the 901, then the 1000H and 1000HD. The 701 and 900 use the same Celeron processor whereas the 901 and 1000H use the Atom 1.6 processor.

They all run well with ubuntu-eee-8.04.1 available from the address quoted by Ludovic.
I have not experienced any problems with the 701 nor the 1000H.
