WUBI Install in XP rejects login.

Asked by Scott Price

I just installed the WUBI Hardy 8.04.1 in XP Pro SP3. It installed just fine, then when it goes to the login screen, I type in my Windows password (it never asked me for a user name on install). It won't take that one, or 'Root' or 'Ubuntu' -- the name of the session is 'Owner-Ubuntu' & I am logged in Windows as 'Owner'. I've tried every combination of U/L case... won't go in. Is there something I missed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Try your username is all lowercase letters. Ubuntu does not allow capital letters in usernames.

Hope this helps
