ubuntu download larger than 700mb

I cannot seem to download Ubunto 8.04 to disk (700mb), even though it is showing as 694mb...help. ALSO, I changed bios to boot from D:/do I need to do anything else to install Ubuntu? Thanks.

The error msg reads: cannot write to disk, file exceeds aavailable space; followed by an indication that the transfer is actually 711mb...what's with that?

It sounds like you are trying to copy to the CD rather than ¨burning the ISO¨.
