terminal problem

when i trying to open terminal using sudo su ,the passward wanting line is not showing rather it showing the line..

   sudo:unaqble to resolve host aniruddha-laptop

the terminal showing the following(in detail)....

 aniruddha@aniruddha-laptop:~$sudo su
 sudo:unable to resolve host aniruddha-laptop
 aniruddha@aniruddha-laptop:~$

NOW PLEASE SOLVE MY PROBLEM....PLEASE

I had the same problem before.
Can you paste the output of cat /etc/resolv.conf please?
