This information that you provided is not specific enough to determine the exact error you are having. You can try these commands in the terminal and then report back any errors you are getting.

Please open a terminal from the menu Applications-> Accessories-> Terminal and type:

sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get --fix-missing install
sudo apt-get clean all
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get autoremove

Please report any errors from these commands.

Thank you

First i suggest you to be sure your system is fully upgraded, to check:
open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type:

sudo dpkg --configure -a

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Then type:

sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get --fix-missing install
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get autoremove

Hope this helps
