Hardware support

We want to use a pc for Ubuntu testing with a wireless NIC card installed.
We only have Windows drivers for the NIC, hiw can we know if this is also supported for Ubuntu?

There may be Linux drivers for it (search for the make and model on the internet with "linux" or "ubuntu" added). Even if there aren't, it may well work with the Windows drivers thanks to a program called ndiswrapper.
