Is It OK If I Remove Extra Virtual Terminals?

In an effort to speed up and tweak my ubuntu 8.04, I came across the following tip. Do you guys think it's a good and safe idea that i do this?

Remove extra virtual terminals:

cd /etc/event.d
sudo mv tty3 tty3.bak
sudo mv tty4 tty4.bak
