Cannot install in NEC 6500

I have recently tried to install Ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS on my computer - NEC 6500. However, the result was unexpectedly bad because Ubuntu cannot recognize my keyboard, I think. While being asked for name and password, I could not enter, so Ubuntu did not let me continue.

Try installing with another keybord, some generic USB-keybord should be ok. You might want to google a bit before installing thoug. If you are not able to fix the keyboard once installed, the installation will be next to useless.
