sound and burn rights on default

Asked by MiTcH

i install the HERD3 with the alternate cd of kubuntu (my ati x1600 doesn't work with the free ati drivers (a wellknown bugs) in the common cd).
and when you install kubuntu, the user created has very little rights ! too little rights ! he can't :
- do a sudo (so you have to add the user manually in the sudoers file)
- play sound ! (no soundcard are recognized, execpt when you add the sound right to the user)
- burn a CD
...and launch kde with the root count is not a beautifull way.

it appends with the alternate cd, i don't know if with the normal live-cd it's the same thing.

Thanks for asking for support.

However, I fear we cannot change defaults in this framework. Such changes also require in most cases more diskussion, which cannot happen here.

I think you should raise this issue in the appropriate forum or mailing list. <http://www.ubuntu.com/community/forums/> might be a good start.

If you have some specific question that do not require changes of the Ubuntu-CDs we will try to answer it here.

I hope this helps.

Can you help with this problem?
