.NET Framework 2.0 & Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 2.0 support

Asked by MDesimoni

I've downloaded the setup.exe file for downloading these files (.NET Framework 2.0 & Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 2.0) and that is as far as I get. I really need to get these. Is it possible?

Thank you in Advance

No it is not possible.
ubuntu and linux in general does not use exe files so theese cannot run on your linux system.
and so you cannot install windows applications.
applications on linux can be installed through the internet. by opening the add remove dialog
can you tell us what exactly do you want to do?
i am sure there is another way.

Aris

Thank you for your prompt response on this matter. This software was to run so I could do some part time work. Perhaps I will contact them to see if they have something Linux/Ubuntu compatible. I really like ubuntu and I want to keep it. Thanks again for your prompt response.

Ok

one other thing to do is run a virtual windows machine inside linux and use it only when you need to run the program.
this is done with the vietualbox software.
you can install it with: sudo apt-get install virtualbox

Can you help with this problem?
