When i click restart, My computer hang. Help me please

Wow... How hard to learn ubuntu. But i like it, i learned something new. Ok i shut my computer off, its ok. But when i restart my computer (with ubuntu 8.04 - hardy) on boot (on detecting HDD, memory, etc) than it cannot get to grub-boot-loader. But when i test with windows(i restart it) it OK. What happen? i use Acer 4315.

grub loader is before memory and hard drive detection..

or let me ask you something else how can you boot windows without getting to your boot loader first.

do you mean the logon screen?

I solved my problem, this because i install ndisawrapper, etc (Windows Wireless Driver) when i want to install wireless atheros
