i don't know even a word about the programming but now i want to learn c/c++ programming . i have installed kubutnu 8.08.1 in my desktop. plz help me.

You start by installing kdevelop with your packet manager and then follow one of these tutorials:
 - http://www.dazzle.plus.com/linux/
 - http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/C%2B%2B_Programming/TOC1
But maybe it's easier if you start with a simpler language like Python (http://docs.python.org/tut/tut.html)
