Shutdown incorrect

Asked by Giuseppe Terrasi

Shutdown on Ubuntu 6.10 is incorrect some times.

If I click on Exit -> Shut Down the system stopped on hald deamon umount.

To resolve:

1) sudo halt

2) dpkg-reconfigure gdm

If I return on login manager, shutdown is correct.

Any suggestion about?

This is a sporadic problem
