Any possibility of running 2560x1600 on 30" Dell 3007WFP?
Hi,
I am currently running a Quad Core Intel Based system with an Nvidia GeForce8800 GTX and a Dell 30" LCD at resolution 2560x1600, and a 2 TB- 5 Disk Raid 5 array. I tried booting off the Live CD and the best I could get in Kubuntu was 1280x1024. I tried installing the Nvidia Drivers using "apt-get install nvidia-glx-new" and could not get them to install. So two part question:
1. Was the failure to install the drivers caused by the fact that I was using my Live CD? I mean - is it supposed to be possible to install these drivers on a Live CD? And why didn't the Live CD just detect and install my drivers automatically?
2. After installing the drivers, what are the chances I will be able to run 2560x1600 display?
3. I noticed the Live CD did not appear to detect or mount my Raid5 partition. What are the chances that I will be able to get my Raid Array detected if it is running of the Intel Motherboard Chipset Controller the Intel ICH8R/ICH9R SATA RAID Controller?
