i get NO video what so ever!!! Please Help!!!

i tried the run ubuntu without affecting computer or whatever, and the little screen comes up, then it loads, then i hear the intro sound, but then i wait and wait, and i get NO video what so ever, i am hooked up to a big tv using hdmi, so i tried using the on board vga cable, and my monitor said out of range or invalid signal or something like that, help please! ubuntu looks really cool and i want it im tired of vista lol.

Hello!

Can you give me some more information connected to your computer. As I understood you have a pc and to it you connected a tv. Ubuntu should configure itself but maybe there is some problem with your video card. I am sure it can be solved just give me some more detail about your hardware configuration.

I finally figured it out! lol, but i am still kind of disappointed, i was trying to install the 64 bit version, i have an anm phenom 9500 quat core, it IS a 64 bit processor, well i finally got it to work with the regular version bu hitting F4 then going to safe graphics mode, lol, then i had to install the ati 3d graphics thingy after like 89 updated lol. I am glad that I could help to you even if in real sense it was not a help
at all :). It should work also with the 64 bit, I don't have a clue why not,
but if the 32 version is working stick with it, if it is okay for you,
anyway I think you would not feel any difference.
