Icon Theme Isn't Adopted By Ubuntu 8.04... How To Fix?

I told you the issue. It won't load. When I install the theme, it will install, but it doesn't show up. This never happened in 7.10. Why is this happening in 8.04? How can I fix this?

How are you installing the theme? Give us a step by step guide to how you are doing it.

Have you checked it is compatible with 8.04 on the site you downloaded it from?

Have you checked the site you obtained it from to see if anyone else has had similar issues?

As Daniel asked also, what is the problem in more detail, do any error messages come up.

If you gloss over questions asked with an aim of giving you the help you need, the process will only take much longer.

Hey, Steve, thanks for the reply. First off, I'm installing the theme as you would normally by dragging the tar.gz file into the Appearance Window. No error messages come up. As a matter of fact, I get a window that says that the theme has been installed.

As to your other question, I installed the icon theme from gnome-look.org. And yes, there have been people complaining about not being able to install it in 8.04. Lastly, the site doesn't mention compatibility with 8.04.

There is your answer then, contact the developer about an update to the theme.
