Asked by Christian Theune

When upgrading from Hardy to Intrepid yesterday the restricted modules package wasn't installed (should have installed 2.6.26-4).

curious to know what if anything is not working due to missing the package, but works after adding it. Restricted modules are largely non-free and therefore added at the user's discretion...additionally, the iso needs to be kept to a size that fits on a single cd, imo.

This is not actually a bug. Intrepid has not been released. Restricted modules are non-free, and not necessarily included as part of the release, but instead are user added.

yes spiderbatdad agree with you Intrepid is a development version going through the SRU testing stage so not not necessarily included as part of the release, but instead are user added.

(sorry for overlooking the heading)
