Widgets, Screenlets, I dont know what to do!!!

Asked by NijatXJ07

So before I switched to Ubuntu, I had Yahoo Widgets on Vista and loved it. I looked around and found out that Screenlets are the best equivalent to that. Is that true?

If so, how in the world do I download it. Someone asked the same question up here and was given a link. I checked the link and it was no longer available. I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

Nijat!

Hi!

You can look for gdesklets, is a package that contain a lot of widgets that you can use like a replace of Yahoo Widget. You can install it with Synaptic or with terminal with:

apt-get install gdesklets

Enjoy it!

Screenlets is a better application in linux - though there are one or two nice gdesklets (one clock I like - but screenlets 'perfect clock' is better i think - and screenlets supports SuperKaramba 'kde' widgets)
