amilo si 2636 integrted webcam

Ho un Fuji/siem Amilo si 2636 la webcam integrata non funziona

questo dopo lsusb

ma non entra in funzione con camorama skype etc.

ho provato alcuni post tra cui il piu rilevante

ho i driver per vista se possono servire....

Nel caso che non usi Ubuntu 8.04, puoi provare fare un upgrade è speriamo che il tuo camera integrata funziona! http://www.ubuntu-it.org/
Trovi per me per favore che il tuo cam funziona con qualche altro applicazione o no? Solo voglio sapere che hai problemi con Skype o generalmente con la tua camera!

Comunque continuo cercare!

Hi I am using Ubuntu 8.04.

All the software I tried Skype, Camorama, Cheese, EKIGA etc don't see the webcam. The cam is working very well under vista.

Questo è il risultato quando completo la procedura indicata nei post a cui fai riferimento:

stefano@stefano-linux:~$ cd trunk
stefano@stefano-linux:~/trunk$ rmmod /lib/modules/2.6.24-18-generic/ubuntu/media/usbvideo/uvcvideo.ko
ERROR: Module uvcvideo does not exist in /proc/modules
stefano@stefano-linux:~/trunk$ sudo rmmod uvcvideo
[sudo] password for stefano:
ERROR: Module uvcvideo does not exist in /proc/modules
stefano@stefano-linux:~/trunk$ sudo rmodprobe uvcvideo
sudo: rmodprobe: command not found
stefano@stefano-linux:~/trunk$ sudo modprobe uvcvideo

Purtroppo non ho ancora la webcam funzionante. La cartella trunk mi viene creata dentro la cartella file:///home/stefano/trunk mentre mi sembra di capire che la vada a cercare uvcvideo in /proc/modules

Hai patchato, compilato e installato correttamente i sorgenti come descritto nel topic?

Una volta modificati Makefile e uvc_video.c i comandi necessari sono:

make
sudo make install
sudo depmod -a

Quando rimuovi uvcvideo con rmmod, il modulo non viene trovato in /proc/modules perchè la cam è staccata....

E cmq il comando rmmod è ridondante, una volta terminata la compilazione e l'installazione del nuovo modulo ti basta riavviare il computer.
