After installation no icons or menu

I installed Ver 8.04 X64 , i have an Nvidia card, the installation went very smooth but after booting and entering username and password i got an orange screen no icons or menu???

did you try the recovery boot option, and work through the options there?
Did you right click on the 'orange' screen for a response?

yes i did try the recovery boot, and also when i right click on the mouth nothing happend

It happened in my computer, but im in Development Branch, Intrepid, so i update and all my problems dissapeared. Try to upgrade your system.

Im trying to say that it could be a bug with your nvidia driver for 64 bit version. That is the reason cause im telling to you that could be useful to do an upgrade of your system. Access via Terminal (Ctrl + Alt + F1) and try to upgrade it.
