how to burn mpeg movies to dvd

this is probably a stupid question but.......i wanted to make dvd's from some old classic movies i downloaded........their in mpeg format.....the utilites that came with ubuntu 8.04 like Brasero give me an error message??????? is there a way to burn these mpeg movies to dvd????

Have you tried Devede? You can install it via Synaptic or in Terminal: sudo apt-get install devede. Packageinformation you can find here: http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/devede
