I could not run ubuntu 7.10 Live

I'm new to Ubunto.
I got a new computer and i want to run Ubuntu live on it

My Pc Configuration.

               System Manufacturer: INTELR
               Motherboard Foxconn
               BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
               Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6320 @ 1.86GHz (2 CPUs)
               Memory: 2046MB RAM
               Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
               Manufacturer: NVIDIA
               Chip type: GeForce 8600 GT
               Display Memory: 256.0 MB

My question is when i boot from the ubuntu live cd it take long time but does not work.

what does not work? is your CD bootable?

Yes it is bootable. And my cd pass the cd check.
PC boot from the cd and get the Ubntu log to desktop after all that PC get FREEZE.

Mmh i think that one of the services dont run correctly. I have seen such an error at a Laptop from a Friend where i installed Ubuntu. When its "freeze" i pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del that normally tell the system that it have to shutdown, but it dont restart it just killed the zombie-process. Try it maybe it helps
