could not download all repository indexes

Asked by shiro

The repository might be no longer available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and the correct writing of the repository address in the preferences.

Try this to get the most appropriate (fastest download) repositories for your location...

Go to System menu, Administration, Software Sources.
Choose "other" from the "Download from" list
Click the "Select Best Server" button.

You will then be pointed to the fastest local server for your location.

If it is still happening then it means you have added a repository which is no longer available.
To get rid of it you can use the same path (System menu, Administration, Software Sources) as I mentioned above and you can then untick the repository in the "Third-Party Software" tab.

Or you could alternatively just ignore it for now as it may be just offline temporarily.

Can you help with this problem?
