Wireless on Ubuntu 8.04 Hp pavilion dv6000

Asked by Aaron

I don't know the card, but it's the standard with an HP Pavilion dv6000 notebook. Can anyone suggest a driver?

Hi,

I think it's a Broadcom wireless card.

To install the drivers you need to go in

System / Administration / Hardware Drivers

In the window that opens, you must activate your wireless card (check box).

Best regards.

Open a terminal and type:

sudo lspci | grep Broadcom

This will tell you what your Chpset is.

Then go here to get your downloads and instructions:

Good luck,
