how to add network users on the domain

i have installed Samba on My Desktop 8.04 which i want to be a server. So now i would like to know how i will add all my users on the server.
I was using the workgroup in the windows environment, but now i would like to use the Domain.
So My question is How do i go about it?????i love Ubuntu

Hello Vee,

The simplest solution is to create new users on your system, which will have rights to connect on your samba server automatically, with the login and password you give to their accounts. If you want something to do advance configuration of your server and users or adding users on your samba server without creating new system users, you can install the system-config-samba package, which is downloadable from the universe repository.

am not sure with universe repository, how do i get to that? i will be glad to try it.

Universe repository is enabled by default in Hardy, so you don't have to activate it manually. Using the add/remove programs application (which you can find at the bottom of the Applications menu) you have to type (choosing "all the software" or "all the free software" or something equivalent (depending on your locale)) "samba" and the first program proposed should be system-config-samba (called samba here but system-config-samba is mentioned in the packages details). You then have to tick the box next to it, and press the "apply changes" button.
