trying to upgrade to ubuntu 8.4 I have been in a memory test screen for several days. I do'nt know how to get back to my desktop.

I upgraded to 8.4. Computer restarted in a blue screen with memory test86+ v1.70 in the left hand corner. It's been conducting test for 2 days now. i tried to restart it a few times. This just starts the process over. I need my computer back help me

Grub is loading the wrong kernel. Enter the Grub menu (by pressing ESC when prompted for it) and see if you can find a usable option like "Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.24-17-generic". If you can boot then edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst file and set the 'default' option to.

 Called Everex they said to go to their site download drivers and reinstall everything. It worked.
