Intel Corporation 82852/855GM resolution on Laptop

in Windows I can use 1024 x 768 but in Ubuntu 6.0.6 LTS I only have the choice of 640 x 480 and 800 x 600. I want to use 1024 x 768.

Have a look through /var/log/Xorg.0.log for (WW) and (II) relating to when the i810 loads. the driver should check which modes it's capable of against the hardware it has so to speak.

The log you suggest is blank.

Edgy has the same problem.

My Laptop is not listed by the Laptop team.

If you wat to make this permanet, update /etc/default/915resultion. MODE=54 XRES0=1024 YRES0=768

This works fine now in Ubuntu 7.10
