Auto mounting of USB disks not working
Asked by
Jim
I have just done a network upgrade of my Ubuntu system to 8.04 LTS.
Before the upgrade I could attach, and automatically mount, both USB memory sticks, and external USB 2.0 drives.
Since the upgrade, the systen refuses to auto-mount the USB memory devices. In It doesn't even auto mount the window-C drive; the external 160GB disk, which is sitting in a USB2.0 external enclosure, or the memory sticks. I've noticed that USB memory sticks are seen in the file browser, but they cannot be mounted.
Any idea?
Thanks
Jim
